Gita Within Terms of Use
Effective date: October 19, 2026 · Gita Within 0.6.0
About these terms
Gita Within is a Bhagavad Gita reading and personal-practice app developed by Hakan Özmen and published under TadaApp. These product-specific terms supplement the TadaApp Terms of Service. Applicable App Store terms and your mandatory consumer rights also apply.
Features and availability
Version 0.6.0 includes English, Hindi and Sanskrit reading, personal reading plans, reflections, notes, saved verses, meditation, progress badges and supported device integrations. Some features depend on your device, permissions and installed system voices. Membership purchasing is unavailable in this release configuration. Any download price is displayed by the App Store. Future features or pricing will be described in the applicable store listing and in-app information.
The text and study materials
The app presents a historical Sanskrit text and identified English and Hindi translations. Editions can differ in verse numbering and interpretation. Source and license credits are available inside the app and on the Gita Within product page. Preserve applicable source attribution and comply with the relevant license when redistributing licensed material.
Reading plans, learning summaries, prompts and reflection exercises are original study aids. They are distinct from the source text and traditional commentary. They are intended for personal study and reflection, and do not claim to represent every interpretation or tradition.
Your writing and personal backups
Your reading history, notes, journal and practice data are stored on your device. Keep backups of information you want to retain before uninstalling the app or moving to another device. Password-protected .gitabackup files contain supported personal data and exclude the bundled books, app preferences, purchase state and diagnostics. Restore merges supported data into your existing records; it does not provide automatic cross-device synchronization.
Keep your backup passphrase safe. It must contain at least 10 characters, is not retained by the app, and cannot be recovered by TadaApp. The separate personal-data JSON clipboard export is unencrypted. Review what you copy or share, and manage exported files, shared copies and operating-system backups separately.
Audio, reminders and meditation
English and Hindi read-aloud uses system-generated speech, rather than professional recordings or chanting. Availability and offline playback depend on installed device voices. Sanskrit narration is not included. Notifications and background playback depend on permissions and operating-system behavior; alerts may be delayed or suppressed by device settings.
Meditation timers, streaks and badges support personal practice. They do not guarantee spiritual, health or behavioral outcomes. The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and its timers should not be used as critical alarms.
Sharing and optional diagnostics
You choose whether to share a verse, save an image, export personal data or copy a diagnostic report. Other apps, recipients and storage providers handle the copies you send to them. Local diagnostic counters are optional and disabled by default; reports are not sent automatically. Review a report before including it in a support request.
Privacy
Read the Gita Within Privacy Policy for details about local data, diagnostics, permissions, device services, backups and support messages.
